About Me

I'm a freelance artist, designer and demonstrator and have been involved in arts and craft my whole life in one way or another. I design stamps for top British company Personal Impressions, under the "Lindsay Mason Designs" brand, as well as papers, templates and other crafting products. I'm a certified Ranger Educator and my first book,"Stamping", was published in 2009. I also design regular projects for Crafts Beautiful magazine and have made guest appearances from time to time on QVC. I've recently joined You Tube under the name of LindsayMason1000 where I'm posting short technique videos and you can buy my paintings and hand crafted pieces from my Etsy shop. My work takes me all around the country demonstrating stamping, papercrafts and general inkiness! When I'm not working, I love gardening, church & community activities, nature watching, journalling, music and theatre and just relaxing at home. Email me at: ljm.design1@virginmedia.com

Quickie post!

Just signing in before the busy weekend ahead, which I'm really looking forward to. Hope some of you will be able to come along and do let me know who you are!I'm adding this picture which is a very simple card that features butterflies stamped onto the alcohol inked metallic film which I featured in an earlier post. I punched some tiny butterflies from the same sheet to use every scrap. The photo doesn't do justice to the lovely iridescent sheen on the wings that this technique gives. I used Ranger Archival black ink to stamp the images and the stamp is Butterfly no 2 by Personal Impressions (P547E).....a really useful little stamp.
I've been making some decorative fold out boxes which I'll post pictures of after the weekend. I'm really pleased how they've turned out - they aren't a new idea, but I haven't made any for a while so it's been fun to do them again.
Well, I'm going to make some toast now for a late breakfast and then get my kit sorted out and packed up for the weekend before typing up some project instructions for something that I'm working on. So, hope to see you in Oswaldtwistle tomorrow or Sunday (it's 11am - 4pm on both days) but, if not, call back here next week to see photos of what you missed! Have a good weekend everyone. Lindsay
